N Y C [ 3.1.03 ] An Unforgettable Experience

i have been to NYC a million times and have never experienced ANYTHING like this. we took the cab three times in the city, and all three times we encountered very unique experiences...

TO 71ST and 1ST [II AM] at a red light, a man knocked on the passenger side window. our driver rolled down the window and the man said in these EXACT WORDS "where are the prostitutes? the working ladies??" our driver goes "get out of here! u crazy!"... ok so what i'm wonderin is... since when do prostitutes roam the busiest streets of NYC in broad daylight at 11am??? AND how desperate is this guy exactly?!?! craziness. my mom was sittin next to me going "prostitutes? what's that? taxcollecter??" (i think she was thinking about pharisees)

TO BROADWAY AND HOUSTON [3 PM] there was something mentally wrong with our driver. .... or he was just especialyl grouchy. he picked a fite with this korean dood in an acura at a red light. i thought the guy was gonna pull out a gun. it was SCARY.

TO PORT AUTHORITY [6:45 PM] we were expecting somethin to happen cuz of the luck we were havin that day.... but surprisingly enough, it went pretty smoothly. i got to talk to matt on the phone, my mom, nancy and i had some nice conversation, and the driver kept tellin us how beautiful we were (all gurls could live with that 24/7 =P). so about 4 blocks away from 42 st, the driver pulls to the side of the road, get outs and comes back with a slice of pizza. WHO DOES THAT?? it was the wierdest thing. nancy could not stop laughin and i just sat there wide-eyed... it was insane

despite all that, NYC was lotsa fun. we went to bloomingdales and they had a huge sale goin on. it was all very overwhelming.. i actually got a lil dizzy... but it was definately lotsa fun. then we went to SOHO and shopped at UO (ahh.. felt so good to be "home") and then got myself some diesels. it was a good time.
