last night i threw a surprise party for the most awesome roommate in the world, Isabel Pena. It was SO HECTIC planning it, and SO MUCH FUN. Run-down of events:
Sunday night @ 1am: In bed planning the party in my head
Monday night: watching a movie with isabel, planning logistics with Kevin online, designing/printing invites IN FRONT of isabel (thank goodness she was totally absorbed in the movie), running around bromley handing out invites.
Wednesday night @ 620pm: shopping at meijer for cake, decorations, cards, balloons, utensils, drinks..
@ 650pm: freaking out in the parking lot because i didn't have enough hands to bring everything inside.. plus, isabel was walking towards me while i was holding the cake.
@7pm: rich helped me bring everything to his room.
7-820pm: blowing 100 balloons in rich's room, having one of the best convos i've ever had with him =), watching the barack obama speech from the national convention, him and i almost passing out, lotsa laughs and smiles =)
820-9pm: back in my room to hangout with isabel so she wouldn't get suspicious... trying to kick her out of the room
9-945pm: the most hectic time in my life. matthew, alyson, lizzie, dave, and i bringing up 100 balloons from the mezzanine up to the fifth floor. SO MUCH FUN. we made it in only two trips! (hahaha, i think this was my fave part of the night), putting streamers up, setting up the cake, and wrapping up our door.
945-10pm: people show up... my room was a million degrees.. it was so hot. i've never seen so many people in a dorm room before. craziness!
1010pm: kevin calls... isabel's coming up!
1010-11pm: lotsa tears, laughs, smiles, dancing=P, pictures, and memories =)
