today, oprah gave to each audience member $10,000 worth of gifts. the show was entitled "oprah's favorite things". i dont' have that much money to give away MY favorite things to 200 people =P, but i'm going to share a few of my favorite things about this winter in hopes that you guys will also take the time out to appreciate this MAGICAL season =).

"Sheila's Favorite Things" (about the winter):
- winter attire (peacoats, gloves, scarves, hats, mittens, sweaters, thick socks)
- skiing and snowboarding
x the thrill of racing down a slope with your closest friends
x waiting for each other to get down parts of the slope to make sure everyone is okay.. like one big family =)
x being totally carefree while laying down in the middle of a slope due to sheer exhaustion from falling down too much
x lift conversations =)
x the excitement felt by all when everyone is piled into a little car at 7am on our way to the slopes
x attempting to learn new tricks with friends... and completely failing at it. still a lot of fun =)
x .... there is too much.. everything about skiing/snowboard rocks. the lodge, the slopes, friends, the thrill... yum yum
- warm soup and hot chocolate after shoveling the snow
- snowfights!! sledding at holmdel park!!!
- hugs and snuggling to keep warm =)
- staying in during a snowstorm with close friends.. indulging in warm smiles and laughs knowing that you're safe and happy... and really really lucky to be where you are
- nicely wrapped presents with big bows on them
- driving in a toasty car with a close friend, and having good conversations
- hugs.. i love hugs... everyone give me a hug this winter... it better be good =)
