so this weekend has been unreal. thanks illini basketball team for making it so memorable!!
as you all probably know, UIUC made it to the final four and on saturday, we competed against Louiseville for a spot at the national championships. all my friends and i met at brothers @ 12:30ish and lined up, waiting for it to open at 3pm. it was ridiculous how long the line was when we got there and how long it got by the time doors opened. tip off was at 5:07. UIUC fans rock =) it was great to be there screaming, cheering, jumping, clapping, and rooting on the illini bball team. we beat louiseville 72-57. when we left brothers, there was a HUGE riot in the middle of Green St.. it was amazing =). the crowd eventually made its way down green st. to the quad where we all charged to foellinger.. it was PRETTY SCARY. haha, thanks to my friends who protected me from the chaos. some pics:(btw, thanks conrad & elyse for letting me steal these pictures =) )

today, we played UNC in the national championships. i originally was going to watch the game at brothers, but then decided to enjoy the weather outside (almost 80 degrees, yummy) with a few friends. i ended up watching the game in our union with rob, dusty, bob and TONS of other people. it was awesome cheering our team on. although we lost, it was a really good game and we really put up a fight. i still love you illini, good job for making it so far!

they decorated the alma mater in honor of the team for making it so far

everyone was out on the quad enjoying the BEAUTIFUL weather

awesome illini fans... sorry this pic is so distorted. my camera got funky on me.
